You can have an iPhone automatically backup to a computer. It can either do it automatically when it’s plugged in to the computer, or you can turn WiFi backups on, and it will automatically back up when it’s connected to a charger.
The backup experience isn’t too different than what has been happening with iPods for over two decades.
Don’t rain on the haters little circlejerk. They’re in Apple enthusiast but they’re clearly not. Need better moderation here.

Yeah, this community often gets brigaded by iOS and MacOS haters that come over from c/all.
It’s kind of annoying when half of the comments on big threads are from people who are obviously very unfamiliar with the software and products we’re talking about.

Why was the reddit post source deleted?
I just want the people on lemmy to see this as well.
Because it probably was an ID10T problem?
Because it’s fake news.
It was deleted on r/ios
Oh well. Sucks if you use cloud services. Let this be a lesson to you.
Doesn’t bother me one bit but the hater crowd gonna hate. Hears “Apple” thinks “derp”. Good for Lols.
IMHO, a more practical piece of advice would be “wait a week or two before installing point larger point releases.”
People are going to use cloud backups. They like the convenience too much.
To be honest, it is not so easy to do backups of iOS devices without the cloud
Connect to your computer and click backup when iTunes pops up if you’re running windows. To be honest it’s very easy.

Really? It works over WiFi? Well then I take back my previous comment. I thought it works only when plugged in to the pc.

Looks like someone gets to work on the weekend.
