Nice hope some Foss F-droid type app options pop up. I love it on Android since it’s where I can go to find a simple app that I know won’t have ads or IAP or subscriptions.

It’s strange how some people seem to think that alternative app stores means unsigned or signed by a 3rd party. Will never happen on iOS or iPadOS. If you want that buy a Mac.

No I bought the device it’s mine to do what ever I please with it.

While I agree with this, we still bought the thing knowing it’s not the case…

Cydia

If you want to risk jail breaking go for it. I prefer my phone malware-free.

Don’t think there are even jailbreaks for iOS 17.5. Cydia shows iOS 16.4. Might as well be in the Stone Age.

All it would take is a simple law to be passed.

  • Force Apple to allow.

Its not the government of Japan that blocks them.
