No thank you.

Unless Apple starts kneecapping their regular bar phones or comes in with a better price I don’t expect them selling better than the Samsung Foldables in terms of bar phone vs foldable share.

Looking forward to seeing some diversity in the lineup. Apple are good at seeing what works and making it better but every phone since the X has been virtually the same with only small updates so good to see them try something different.

Give me a see through phone. Give me a light up chassis. Just do something.

I am writing this message from a X. Haven’t had a good reason to upgrade, maybe they’ll give me one soon?

What do you mean? Apple Intelligence isn’t enough?!?

/s in case that isn’t obvious.

…it scratches at zero, and completely delaminates at one…

If it’s at the size of an iPhone mini when folded, then I might be interested.

deleted@lemmy.world on 04 Dec 11:37 next collapse

I have iPhone mini now and I’m more interested in horizontal folding than vertical.

An iPhone mini trifold would be my dream phone.

acosmichippo@lemmy.world on 04 Dec 20:20 collapse

but it’ll also be twice a thick.

Melonpoly@lemmy.world on 06 Dec 11:14 collapse

That’s not true at all, there are folding phones that are the same thickness as a regular phone when folded. And they don’t compromise on battery life, like the Honor Magic v3. And Apple isn’t a stranger to making things smaller than the competition on the mac side of things.

AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world on 04 Dec 12:33 next collapse

Meh. Rollable phones are where it’s at.

Thekingoflorda@lemmy.world on 04 Dec 14:16 next collapse

Are there any rollable phones on the market?

AnUnusualRelic@lemmy.world on 04 Dec 14:50 collapse

Not until apple invents them obviously. 😉

For now there’s only been a few prototypes.

monkeyslikebananas2@lemmy.world on 07 Dec 06:47 collapse

I want to wad my phones up.

surph_ninja@lemmy.world on 04 Dec 15:14 collapse

I’d rather have an Apple bracer. Expand the Apple Watch to a curved full screen version. Let the phone in my pocket do all of the heavy lifting.

acosmichippo@lemmy.world on 04 Dec 20:20 collapse

apple pouldron for me please.
