Yeah a problem with exploiting people’s health for profit is that the exploitation and profits are much more important than the health… And nobody gives a shit about the privacy, security, etc. of the victims.
In the long run it’s much easier and cheaper to pay a ransom, pay lawyers, etc. than to maintain a secure and modern information system in defense of the victims.
