Should’ve linked to the introduction page instead:

Also, I found their first couple of paragraphs kind of disjointed:

“For most people, a great cup of espresso is associated with a cafe, a trained barista, and a large piece of expensive equipment. Options for brewing at home are scarce and pricey, and the ability to have your favorite espresso drink - on the GO - is even more difficult to come by.

But, for so many of us, our morning espresso is the fuel we need to take on our biggest challenges. It’s the way we greet our day, the comfort that raises us from our beds, hotel rooms, campsites and places far from home. Why should we settle for less, right at the exact moment we need the boost to be our best?”

You’re literally trying to sell me an on-the-go espresso maker, and then make a comparison that basically suggests we’re already making espresso in all of these places. Did an LLM write this or something? XD

All that being said, I do think the product looks neat. I don’t really care that they made a pod capable version, but I’d be interested to see a review of this unit. Somebody link a James Hoffman video when he inevitably makes one. Lol

Anecdotally, I’ve found camping people to be into the practicality of pods. I think it’s a smart move.

The extra small size is also good, but light weight would be even more important.

Agreed, it was probably a smart business decision.

Yeah, and I think they probably could’ve designed it in a different way too. I get the impression that they just wanted to be trendy/fashionable with it. I mean, does it really need that many pivot points? Design based on yoga? Lol, come on. Just give me practicality and functionality, I don’t need any of that extra fluff.

It’s word marketing, but 40% the size of other models is pretty impressive.

I quite like it, and the price point compared to the regular model is a steal.

What I don’t like is that shipping & cost to my neck of the woods amounts to over $80, that’s way too steep. I’ll be better off waiting until a local retailer stocks it.

Yeah. Shipping and taxes does make it a bit more expensive outside of the US

Anyone see the weight of the unit listed anywhere? Not sure if I’m blind, or it hasn’t been listed?

MostlyBlindGamer@rblind.com on 01 Sep 2024 08:55 collapse

I don’t know about the second part of your question, but there’s no hits for “weight,” “lbs” or “kg” in that page

Hr24@aussie.zone on 02 Sep 2024 13:40 collapse

Lol, I couldn’t think of any one more appropriate to answer my question than MostlyBlindGamer.

You may still want to go to an ophthalmologist though. Hehehe.

I gotta say, they really should mention the weight. The fact that they don’t only suggest it’s way heavier than the camping crowd would accept.
