Web app, specifically, or any apps?

I’m also familiar with these three (web) apps:

  • Alexandrite: alexandrite.app
  • Mlmym (Old Reddit Lookalike): Not sure if there’s an “open” instance of it, but several instances offer it. See old.lemmy.world for an example (not sure if SJW offers Mlmym or not).
  • Voyager: vger.app

Might also also check out lemmyapps.com which has a good list that you can filter by platform/feature.

ahh thanks, any apps!!

Why no one is using boost, is it so bad?

classybattery@sh.itjust.works on 30 Jun 14:37 next collapse

i’m gonna try that

classybattery@sh.itjust.works on 30 Jun 14:39 next collapse

edit: i don’t have any compatible devices but the format looks cool

Kobibi@sh.itjust.works on 30 Jun 17:13 next collapse

Hasn’t been updated in a while, and it has a few bugs.

I use Alexandrite on my desktop and Voyager on my phone. Perfect experience for me.

Don’t forget quiblr.com

which I think is the only one that has a true algorithm.

I’m using Thunder (app), first one I tried and it’s basically what I had with RedReader so I’ve never really tried anything else.

classybattery@sh.itjust.works on 30 Jun 13:12 next collapse

ahh, thanks so much!

txtr@discuss.tchncs.de on 30 Jun 16:03 collapse

Do you also have the issue with Thunder, that you can’t see votes on any posts/comments?

crimeschneck@sopuli.xyz on 30 Jun 16:12 next collapse

Not an answer to your question, but my experience of browsing lemmy has improved after hiding all scores.

wreckedcarzz@lemmy.world on 30 Jun 20:49 next collapse

I do not :o works just fine for me

Do you have ‘Show Post/Comment scores’ enabled in your account setting. (Click ‘Account’ at the bottom, then the cog icon in the top right).

txtr@discuss.tchncs.de on 01 Jul 04:04 collapse

That’s it. Now it works. Thanks so much!

Connect is wonderful! Posting from that. I don’t know if they have an iOS version but I’m on Android. Very much like RiF, feels familiar
