Don’t attack the messenger, this is threads/meta being evil not @marcus_inferno@lemmy.world

Looking forward to catching up on architecture and design blogs that never made the full migration to Mastodon.

it’s still notable that Meta is making Threads part of the decentralized social network system after only launching the app just eight months ago

“just eight months ago”. There’s most likely a bunch of opensource tech in there, so it’s not like they wrote it from scratch. And they are funded by one of the largest and wealthiest tech companies out there. Eight months is a long time to have one way fediverse integration.

You can’t make a baby in one month with 9 women, the same way you there’s a limit to making an app evolve faster by throwing more ressources at it

Lol… 90% of the folks there probably don’t even know what that means.

Once turned on, people on other servers (Mastodon, for example) can find your Threads profile and like, repost and share your posts with multiple audiences.

But not comment or interact with toots in any meaningful way?

Buelldozer@lemmy.today on 24 Jul 2024 01:47 collapse

Not yet but they’re working on it.

Deceptichum@quokk.au on 24 Jul 2024 01:22 collapse

So we can spin up our own instance to spam the shit out of Meta with bots?
