Finally. The old player was buggy and kept defaulting to 1080p when it's not fullscreened.

For reals. Long overdue. But…. Valvetime.
Goddamn. It’s about time.
It’s about damn time, there were times I’d just go watch the trailer on YouTube instead when it would be glitching out.
Now if they could just fix the UI when navigating screen caps in full screen on Steam Deck, that’d be great.
When they do this? Because can’t seem to get it to play on mobile browser and I used to be able to do that.
Finally we can watch all the trailers that radical christian groups allow us to watch without interruptions!
Enjoy your violence!
I hope they make it play on max volume no mater what your settings, just for nostalgia’s sake.
And it STILL doesnt follow basic video player logic.
Maybe they updated since your post but literally all of these things work both in browser and in Steam itself.
Guess i will test it again later. Thx for the heads up :)
Thank God, the old one broke any time I switched to full screen and stuttered like I’m dialup.
Did they make sure to get permission from payment processors before implementing this?

the half-life subreddit has gone “they’re updating the trailer video player, doesn’t it mean something?” lol
i’m pretty sure this means hl3 is %80 finished
wait fr?
No, it’s just anything can be considered a sign that hl3 is 80% finished
Also, it may as well be, and then stay 80% finished for the rest of the century
alr thanks

I find the old one worked, but it did feel like somehow the corpse of RealPlayer or QuickTime was still shambling around amongst us.
I hope this stops it from being laggy. It’s awful on big picture mode/gamescope
Does it now work on steam deck?
It actually does
Nice!
