As a big Cult of the Lamb fan, this is very exciting!

“Almost longer” is an odd way to put it. Is it as long? Because if it’s not, “almost as long” would make more sense. 😄

Shhh you don’t kill headlines

I never finished the main game. Am I missing out?

a bit repetitive, I think I still enjoyed it

Not really.

You get a few new mechanics as the game progresses and I can totally see people going real hard on the special weapons and modifiers if this is Their Roguelite (I think I was still all up on Hades at that point). And I hear that some of the post release content has made stuff like town management feel a lot better.

But personally? I was very much done with the game by the time I hit credits. The loop of doing 3 or 4 runs and then maxing out my fishing to have food for the next month just got tired real fast. And the town/cult management aspects reminded me a lot of Prison Architect where it is just skeevy enough to make me feel awkward without having enough depth or mechanics to actually make my neurodivergence want to “Optimize the Krakow Route” as it were.

So yeah… interested in following this release but almost definitely skipping it.
