Shigeru Miyamoto stated that “Kirby” was chosen partly in honor of American lawyer John Kirby, who defended Nintendo in the Universal City Studios, Inc. v. Nintendo Co., Ltd. case

OK, so which of the Koopalings is next in line? My money’s on Ludwig!
Given my general distain for modern Nintendo, I’d have no qualms in using AI to generate a Succession parody using the Koopa Kids, if only I knew how… 😅
Good. Reggie was a charismatic leader that pushed against Nintendo Japan to be more consumer friendly. This man did nothing and had zero presence. I wonder what he was even doing there.
Oh no someone with business and management experience takes on a business management role in a business that runs solely to acquire money. Nintendo‘s pricing policies are already maxed for profitability, anyway.

Good. Bowser knows his jig is up. Let’s see if Pritchard pulls a Reggie sometime soon.
Not likely at all, this restructuring was made to give NCL more control over NoA, Pritchard is there to run the ship, the new CEO of NoA, Satoru Shibata, is the one you should be looking at.

Never heard of him, but I’d like to research what he’s up to, especially since, based upon what you’re saying… something seems wrong in your eyes. I had some hope, also knowing that likely things would stay the same.

I’m not sure if they’re concerned with Saturo Shibata directly, it’s just that under Reggie, Nintendo of America pushed hard for stuff like free Wii Sports and cheaper prices (which worked great, making the Wii a huge success), while the Nintendo Japan was of the opinion that nothing should ever be given away for free.
Under Bowser, Nintendo of America fell in line behind Japan. Culminating in stuff like the welcome tour for the Nintendo Switch 2, something that is just a tech demo of the device you just spent $400+ on, costing $10.
Having Saturo Shibata as CEO, it seems this will get worse, not better, since Nintendo Japan is excerting more control over NoA.

Point of order: Wii Sports was not free. The price of the game was added to the price of the Wii, but since you couldn't get a Wii without Wii Sports, people just assumed that was the base price.

Pritchard (bowsers successor) holds a doctorate of law from Gonzaga and a bachelors in biological sciences from Kansas state…Id speculate that Satoru Shibata will do more of the actual management given his continuing role as managing executive officer and corporate director at Nintendo co Ltd, his previous roles as president of Nintendo of Europe and Nintendo of Australia, and this new position at NOA concurrent with his NCL duties, but it’s really funny if unsurprising to me that Nintendo chose a fucking lawyer as their Chief operations officer.

I wonder if Kirby liked Kirby.

If they want a CEO with some balls, they’d choose Lemmy.
Wow he didn’t last too long.
Good. Reggie was a charismatic leader that pushed against Nintendo Japan to be more consumer friendly. This man did nothing and had zero presence. I wonder what he was even doing there.
But his name was Bowser! You know…like the Nintendo character!
Yeah, past the first week of funny headlines I never thought of him again.
Profitability. That’s not reassuring.
Nope. Not at all.
Unsurprising, but still disappointing

His… legal name was Bowser?
Yes
Just wait until you hear what they did to Gary Bowser.
