Day 395 of posting a Daily Screenshot from the games I've been playing

Today’s game is Halo 4, specifically Spartan Ops. After my mistake yesterday i decided to step back from something so Story centered for a few days for screenshots. With the Last of Us i realized a lot of things I’ve been screenshotting to talk about are spoilers, and with how busy I’ll be i don’t trust myself to remember to add the spoiler tag.

So for the next few days it will probably be some of the Multiplayer or sandbox games i play with friends daily taking showcase. They deserve a bit of showcase anyways and there’s plenty to talk about with them that i’d like too, so it’s not like this is a negative.

On the subject of plenty to talk about, there’s Spartan Ops, which i’m pleasantly enjoying. It’s not perfect, but i think part of the issues stem from playing 5 levels back to back daily with friends. I think in the original paced context the Spartan Ops released with it would be far more enjoyable. Just having these smaller levels with simple goals to jump into and jump out of is fun.

Whatever they did different for it too, i feel like i’m having way more fun. Something about how it’s scripted is just amusing. Like this section where we’re storming a hill, i got to see a grunt get absolutely crushed by a drop pod. Poor guy was lucky the entire thing didn’t drop on him.

I ended up meeting the same fate as the grunt though mere levels later, because i got squashed by a Drop Ship going in to Land. It didn’t even touch me, just got close and my spartan died of a heart attack and social anxiety.

There was a snow level with tanks too, and i had destroyed the turret gunner and gotten in with the elite. Then my friend hopped on, and the Elite drove us around. We had somehow accidentally made a 3 seater tank.

Spartan Ops does make your teammates invincible too your attacks as far as i can tell, which is probably a good thing. But damn, do i miss being able to beat the shit out of eachother. Who needs therapy when you can just beat the crap out of your friends in the Halo Campaign? Anyways, we did the first Episode Yesterday, and finished Episode 2 today. With a total of 10 Episodes we’ll probably be picking away at these at a rate of 1 per a day, which isn’t bad at all.

I got an achievement for this too, and realized i’m at 400 out of 700 achievements when looking at it, which is crazy. It doesn’t feel like all that long ago i only just beat CE for the first time, and here i am now having done all the campaigns on Legendary. It’s crazy how time can pass.
