I played this for a few hours on a laptop a decent number of years ago. Such a weird game. I had no idea what was going on in the story despite all the exposition. I’m pretty sure you are in a cult but could be totally wrong. There were a load of options for gear and upgrades. It was definitely interesting and had potential. I think I stopped playing and didn’t finish it because I didn’t really understand why I was doing anything and I think I struggled to recognise any of the characters between scenes, if there were any persistent characters.

This was so completely deranged, to the point where it was kind of not fun because what even is this nonsense, but I kept going because I wanted to see what nonsense would happen next. I’m not sure I’d go with “masterpiece of jank” because I think it pretty successfully realized its vision; this is a surrealist and bizarre work, not an incomplete one. …please don’t ask me to explain what that vision is, though.

I played it, enjoyed it, and had no idea what the hell is going on.

It was fun because I went in with the expectation that it’s bizarre and has a certain cult classic reputation.

Culter classic you mean? Are you a Jian?

Jokes aside, I had the same experience. I didn’t understand anything and went “hm, what?” every other minute. As soon as I stopped trying to understand it was a fever dream of enjoyable nonsense.
