Tbh every time this project was mentioned I assumed it was a PVP thing. I’m WAY more interested knowing it’s a co-op thing!

I’m so absolutely ready for this. Control and Alan Wake are both such fantastic games, and there are not enough co-op narratives out there.

Is this going to be Lethal Company, but in the Control world? 'Cause I’d play that.

Seems more like Left 4 Dead or Deep Rock Galactic (without the mining)

But some of the frames seem like they have inspiration from Lethal Company… the setting (and Remedy’s humor) would definitely make it work if there’s more inspiration we don’t see yet.

I’m unclear what the gameplay will be like. The vibe feels like something between DRG and Outlast Trials?

I loved Control so much, I'm glad to see that Remedy's still expanding on that universe.

It sounds like it could be so cool. Asymmetrical multiplayer has so many unexplored possibilities.

BUT

Arkane had never developed a co-op game before Microsoft got their hands on them and we all saw how Redfall did. I have to remain cautiously optimistic about this

chloyster@beehaw.org on 18 Oct 2024 00:39 collapse

That’s true, and fair. I am optimistic though since from what I understand Arkane didn’t want to develop a multiplayer game. Sounds like this has been something remedy wanted to do
