I use fedora sway spin. It holds up well on my pos Chromebook.

LambdaRX@sh.itjust.works on 12 Jun 10:04 next collapse

Ah, these pesky Arch users. I use Fedora BTW.

I installed windows on the steam deck and it sucks and i love it.

LunarLoony@lemmy.sdf.org on 12 Jun 10:54 next collapse

Use Windows XP to annoy both Linux users and those guys who get a serious bee in their bonnet about EOL software

Reddfugee42@lemmy.world on 12 Jun 14:04 collapse

I mean, if you don’t use it for anything important and it doesn’t have any sensitive data, knock yourself out

yesman@lemmy.world on 12 Jun 11:36 next collapse

It’s good to have a rational for your choices. And we know it can’t be because you think Microsoft makes good software that you enjoy using.

Maybe you did. Maybe you didn’t. Do you control the source code? What if these “disabled” toggles are placebo and the “if” statement in the code doesn’t exist and it just always gobbles up your data? What a naive way to think.

Reddfugee42@lemmy.world on 12 Jun 14:04 collapse

It’s probably all been silently turned back on through updates

MyNameIsRichard@lemmy.ml on 12 Jun 11:49 next collapse

The only person you’re spiting is yourself.

I also run an OS that doesn’t define my online personality ✌️😌

It seems like this schtick is demonstrably a part of your online personality.

cyberpunk007@lemmy.ca on 12 Jun 13:47 next collapse

Will you be doing great when all your activity and gets leaked in screenshot form from windows recall, and all your activity is logged via your mandatory online account tied to your PC?

Microsoft hand has been played and that’s the direction windows is going. It’s practically here.

prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone on 12 Jun 14:02 next collapse

That’s weird, dude.

Reddfugee42@lemmy.world on 12 Jun 14:03 collapse

Good doggie

There seem to be way more people that keep saying that they hate Arch users who keep saying that they use Arch than Arch users that keep saying that they use Arch.

Allero@lemmy.today on 12 Jun 12:40 next collapse

Took me good 10 seconds to decipher this

Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.

Jiggle_Physics@sh.itjust.works on 12 Jun 12:45 next collapse

It is like vegan hate. For every vegan that aggressively pushes their ethics on others, there are like 1000 people who want nothing more than to do something to offend vegans.

geneva_convenience@lemmy.ml on 12 Jun 22:02 next collapse

Big Gentoo is trying to distract people.

ztwhixsemhwldvka@lemmy.world on 13 Jun 03:58 collapse

Lmao

InnerScientist@lemmy.world on 13 Jun 04:54 collapse

I hate arch users btw

Fizz@lemmy.nz on 12 Jun 12:25 collapse

I swear most of the people that talk about using arch these days dont even use arch and instead use distros downstream of arch.

cyberpunk007@lemmy.ca on 12 Jun 13:45 next collapse

Ooo that’s me. I used to run arch (BTW), but last time I went Manjaro. I installed it like 4 years ago though and way too old and lazy to distro hop anymore

folaht@lemmy.ml on 12 Jun 16:48 collapse

Same here.
Manjaro is good enough for me, even though I hear one should use Endeavour or whatever.

ILikeBoobies@lemmy.ca on 12 Jun 16:59 collapse

I switched from Arch to Endeavour because it was a faster set up time and the end result isn’t different

Gnugit@aussie.zone on 12 Jun 17:03 next collapse

I’ve been using archinstall it’s actually pretty good now.

Fizz@lemmy.nz on 12 Jun 21:43 collapse

Yeah, nothing wrong with using endeavour i just dont consider that to be arch. I’m mainly triggered by steamOS users saying thry use arch. That drives me insane.
