WGS Linux Pro 4.1 based on*Red Hat Linux 3.0.3 from 1997. In the center is a browser window displaying a welcome screen from Workgroup Solutions, Inc., thanking the user for installing Linux Pro 4.0. It provides links to documentation such as the RedHat-FAQ, RPM HOWTO, installation guides, and boot process tips, aimed at helping users navigate their new system. In the top right corner, a terminal window (`xterm`) is open, showing the kernel version command (`uname -r`), revealing version `1.2.13` of the Linux kernel. To the bottom of the terminal is a graphical calculator application, providing basic and scientific calculation functions. A vertical control panel on the far right offers access to system configuration options such as printer setup, file system configuration, and modem settings. The file manager at the bottom left displays the `/root` directory, while the bottom right holds an application menu, offering quick access to various utilities, including a text editor, terminal emulator, and mail client.
