Goddamn I wish I had teeth I could be that confident in

ChicoSuave@lemmy.world on 04 Jan 20:07 collapse

Confidence isn’t dependent on externalities. Confidence is a state of mind.

Deckweiss@lemmy.world on 04 Jan 22:12 collapse

The state of mind depends on sensory input.

Shit, that was good. Maybe making the switch will help reduce the amount of ambient doom I feel nowadays.

Very good. Now what brand of toothpaste is he using?

Don’t know him and not really interested in the topic much but that was a fun video!

Nox has a lot of great stuff on his yt channel. One of my favorite animator/producers.

I like this it’s a shame none of the programs highlighted were open source but shows commercial software can survive on Linux and he did the move correct by making the move to Linux the last step. By switching your applications first on windows then moving to Linux.

Tattorack@lemmy.world on 04 Jan 22:25 collapse

Yeah, I had no trouble switching to Linux, as I already was using FOSS programs with native Linux versions (i.e. Blender, Krita, OBS…).

Eyup. That’s a modestly sized creator exposing Adobe alternatives and Linux to a large following. Hopefully this’ll pull some people away from the corporate operating systems. Maybe even to just look out of curiosity…

I had the same reaction when he suddenly dropped the “ulterior motives line” and my hopes became true.

Been watching his stuff for a while, and it was great to see a pretty successful artist find a way to make their pipeline work, and also talk about it.

QuazarOmega@lemy.lol on 04 Jan 23:24 next collapse

OMG one my favorite creators on my favorite platform, this will get my penguin panties wet 😳

pemptago@lemmy.ml on 05 Jan 21:16 next collapse

Glad to see people making videos about this stuff. I hope they continue in that direction and dabble in sharing on a peer tube instance or something similar. Creation is one aspect, but distribution also matters. Talking about breaking free of corporate control loses some credibility when it’s content for- and can only be accessed on- YouTube.

One thing at a time. Give him some time. He’s fresh into our free world 😀

Well holy crap that went from 0 too 100 at the end.

It’s Nox. That tends to happen.

Ulrich@feddit.org on 06 Jan 08:03 next collapse

That was cringey as fuck but I guess get the word out in whatever way works

Tattorack@lemmy.world on 06 Jan 10:18 collapse

He started on Newgrounds, so he brings that heavy helping of early 2000s Newgrounds edge. Certainly not for everyone. ^^;
