K League community

!KLeague@lemmy.funami.tech

I created an alt account on what appears to be the only South Korean instance, which seems like the proper home for it, to create this community.

Nice

I know you’re kind of a big thing in the fediverse - do you know why I can’t see your comment from lemmy.funami.tech but I can from feddit.uk? I’ve noticed that stuff is pretty slow in appearing with my funami.account, and my guess is that it’s somehow not as well federated because it’s smaller.

Probably federation issues with funami.tech. can you ping the instance admin in this comment?

It just appeared on funami just now somehow, but I’ll ping @noahimesaka1873@lemmy.funami.tech just in case there’s something that can be improved

Ah, we are on a LW community, that might be why it took so long.

That’s usually why people recommend other instances

Since this instance is hosted on Korean home internet - which they throttle traffic to/from overseas - you might have some delays, especially to EU. (US is a bit better) Otherwise we have a very high performance server with Threadripper 7960X and 256GB of RAM.

EDIT: seems like federation to l.w is extra slow for some reason lol, one more reason to use another instance

EDIT EDIT: Dug a bit more, feddit.uk and dbzer0 get almost instant federation but l.w is very, very slow.

EDIT x3: No, sometimes it’s under 1min and other times it’s weirdly slow. Federation is a hassle sometimes lol
