Finished assembling my dream GBA (SNES themed)

New clear black shell to fit the IPS screen v3 from funny playing (no soldering needed! This is awesome, I can control the screen with just a touch on the GBA logo). I also added a rechargeable usb c battery, so far it is already lasting 2x longer thanks when I used AA (6 hours in, with a single charge, and medium brightness + sound).

Seeing a GBA get upgraded like that is incredible. Especially the back lit IPS display. With no soldering being required I want to get my hands on a GBA and do the same over playing it through an emulator. on 29 Sep 2023 09:56 next collapse

Funny playing IPS v3 and shell+buttons (for IPS), clean juice rechargeable battery. They both have guides and that’s the only thing I needed. on 29 Sep 2023 12:35 next collapse

Love it! I really wished the original gba had backlight. I waited for the SP because I really wanted backlight but I hated the boxy form factor and no headphones without an adapter.
