I absolutely loved my Game Boy Advance, and I played Pokemon Sapphire for hours on it, and I also played Pokemon Red for a little while.
I distinctly remember my grandma taking away my Pokemon Sapphire game when I was like 9 or 10 years old and never giving it back and I told her she had never given it back and she didn’t believe me until she found it when I was about 17.
Obviously, I just bought another copy and used that instead.
I still have a functional GB01. I had to do some work on some contacts, but it works.
I think the massive ground plane may have had an issue.
I am looking at a power/battery upgrade, and the backlight.

The Advance SP was and still is my favorite handheld console of all time.
