Cool we’re getting this. I played the demo a bit on Dreamcast and haven’t really gone back. A lot of early 3D games don’t hold up well by modern standards so it’s good to see we’re getting updates like this.

Maybe I’ll try them as I never got to try them back in the day but had a friend that loved them.

Inject them straight into my arm please. Also, Amy Henning is an absolute treasure and I miss her writing. I lost track of her work once she left Naughty Dog. She shaped so much of the good narratives we still have in an age where every game is written like a care bear episode.

Glad to hear it, modern updates are always welcome. I played the first on dreamcast back in the day, I remember it having some good action.

I got the original on Steam a while back because I was craving to play it again, and I couldn’t even really stomach my way through the whole tutorial segment because hoo boy the controls were dated. That’s the main reason I am looking forward to these; tighten up the controls to be modern, now that we’ve actually figured them out for 3D environments.

This kind of thing always makes me wonder how the heck I got through them when they were new. It’s very much not like riding a bike lol
