Heck that is an awesome ending screen!

VanHalbgott@lemmy.autism.place on 08 Oct 23:58 collapse

Thanks! I like my Dreamcast a lot.

Cadeillac@lemmy.world on 09 Oct 00:09 next collapse

Dreamcast is great. Especially if you have a CD burner

VanHalbgott@lemmy.autism.place on 09 Oct 00:11 next collapse

Uh…I don’t use CD burners.

Cadeillac@lemmy.world on 09 Oct 00:22 collapse

Might be worth looking into an external, unless you are a physical collector. You do you friend

VanHalbgott@lemmy.autism.place on 09 Oct 00:41 collapse

Thanks. Yeah, I’m a physical collector.

Cadeillac@lemmy.world on 09 Oct 00:44 collapse

I dig it. My only other advice, is you could use backups to keep your originals in good condition, but I’m not sure if CD-Rs are more rough on the laser

If you ever have the opportunity, I would be interested in seeing your collection

VanHalbgott@lemmy.autism.place on 09 Oct 15:12 collapse

Dreamcast or in general?

Cadeillac@lemmy.world on 09 Oct 15:21 collapse

In general. I enjoy all retro gaming stuff

VanHalbgott@lemmy.autism.place on 09 Oct 19:18 collapse

Dreamcast, Saturn, 2600, Genesis, Nintendo 64, PlayStation 1, Odyssey^2^, Xbox, SNES, and NES. I own a lot of systems.

Cadeillac@lemmy.world on 09 Oct 19:20 collapse

Hell yeah. I look forward to seeing more of your posts

Nilz@sopuli.xyz on 09 Oct 10:57 collapse

I’d consider an optical drive emulator like GDEMU so you can store your entire collection on an SD card. This ensures your physical collection lasts longer and loading times are shorter as well.

Cadeillac@lemmy.world on 09 Oct 12:41 next collapse

Much better idea, I don’t guess I was aware of it

LowtierComputer@lemmy.world on 12 Oct 03:57 collapse

The physical discs won’t last much longer.

ByteJunk@lemmy.world on 09 Oct 18:56 collapse

I miss mine so much, my dimwit brother threw it away like 2 decades ago along with our Megadrive, and I occasionally remember that and get sad all over again

GuyDudeman@lemmy.world on 09 Oct 00:31 next collapse

I don’t know what I’m looking at here, as I have never finished this game.

VanHalbgott@lemmy.autism.place on 09 Oct 00:42 next collapse

Probably spoilers, my bad.

machinaeZER0@lemm.ee on 09 Oct 11:31 collapse

That’s Sonic the Hedgehog

Sanctus@lemmy.world on 09 Oct 01:08 next collapse

The lighting is all over the place but it is nostalgic. Like we got the sun in the background and shadows cast from the foreground.

lolola@lemmy.blahaj.zone on 09 Oct 01:37 next collapse

Get a load of this!! Get a load of this!!

MisterMoo@lemmy.world on 09 Oct 06:04 collapse

No way! I can’t believe this!!

Roldyclark@literature.cafe on 09 Oct 02:10 next collapse

Close my eyes and feel it burn
Now I see what I’ve gotta do
Open your heart, it’s gonna be alright

aeronmelon@lemmy.world on 09 Oct 03:06 next collapse

Wow, how did you get graphics like that out of an Atari 2600?

VanHalbgott@lemmy.autism.place on 09 Oct 15:13 collapse

Very funny.

taiyang@lemmy.world on 09 Oct 03:23 next collapse

Now do SA2!

Edit: or what 12 year old me did after winning and play the music from the sound test menu.

MisterMoo@lemmy.world on 09 Oct 06:07 collapse

This game has just a few too many issues (low difficulty, an opaque story, iffy cameras and some of the worst voice acting you’ll ever hear) to be considered great anymore, but it still holds plenty of charm for those who are willing to look for it.

tuckerm@supermeter.social on 10 Oct 16:31 collapse

I agree, and I absolutely love Sonic Adventure. I think I've beaten it more times than any other game I own, but the gameplay hasn't really aged well. It's probably my biggest nostalgia soft spot, though.
