A port of the classic dungeon crawler Diablo is being developed for the Sega Dreamcast by @azi_hassan, using the Devilutin platform.

Are they using the windows CE method to make the game run?
That would be how I’d try to do it.
But… why? Like I’m all for getting retro games working again when they dont, but why back port a game like this to an old console? I don’t get it

Wasn’t that just getting it to display on a tiny screen? The pregnancy test itself didn’t have suitable hardware, or even a suitable screen, as far as I can recall
Spoiler, it didn’t run on the test itself. It ran on hardware shoved inside the test shell if I recall right.
It’s like kissing that ugly girl in a party nobody wants to partake with – it’s useless and completely unnecessary… but oh boy it sure is fun!

The mouse controls must be atrocious on a console
I never played it, but Diablo was officially ported to the original PlayStation
I’ve played Devilution X on my Anbernic handheld and it was serviceable enough, I got to like level 17 before I ran out of steam on my rogue.
Maybe it’ll make use of the official Sega Dreamcast mouse?
Sega is definitely winning the console war now.
Looks like the Dreamcast isn’t just a dream anymore.
