A hidden debug menu, previously unknown to many players, has been found in Golden Axe: The Duel. This Sega classic from 1993 now reveals its inner secrets with the help of a Saturn hacker known as @memory_fallen.
Key Features of the Debug Menu
- Blood Toggle: Players can switch on or off blood effects for more brutal combat scenarios, adding an extra layer of gore to their experiences.
- Collision Boxes Display: This feature allows players to see how characters interact with each other and their surroundings in a more tangible way, potentially aiding those looking for more accurate hit detection understanding.
- Special Moves View: Players can now view what special moves are available to them without having to memorize all the combinations.
- Playable Final Boss (G. Axe): The final boss character G. Axe is now playable within the game’s debug settings.
Accessing the Debug Menu
The menu can now be accessed from the Character Select screen through a specific patch specific patch. This allows for deeper customization of in-game parameters, including player names, stage numbers, potion counts, timer stopping, death disabling, and vitality increasing.
