Spin 1/2 USB for extra uhh usability.

I thought it was a Brownian USB. We know which alignment it should be in, but we can't be certain since we know the vector of its movement into the port.

One of my favorite interactions online was when I asked how do I tell what a usb-c looks like, and got downvoted to hell lol

What would happen with circular connectors?

The problem Usb-c has is when dust builds up inside the port from your pocket etc. 😅 (For some reason seems to be more susceptible to it in my experience than usb micro)

USBC is awesome but it is backwards. Devices should just have holes and the pin should be on the cable. I guess apple blocked that because lightning is like that.

Venator@lemmy.nz on 28 Dec 15:01 collapse

Yeah, hopefully next gen usb can do that in 2034

Or maybe we could switch to a combo of optical data and wired power with a barrel connector that has an optical connector in the middle.

Ah, yes, the 4-dimensional properties of USB, turn 180º twice for different properties…

And whoever decided to make a USB port approximately the same width as an Ethernet port was just plain evil.

The enemy’s gate is down.

Seam goes down. You’re welcome.

There’s also an indent on the up side.

Electrons are spin of 1/2, so electronics must also or else the electrons misbehave.
