Digging up worms and bugs and throwing them to the chickens was one of our beloved hobbies as children. It’s amazing how accurate and enthusiastic those little predators are.
He also darts out in front of you late at night after you’ve driven 6+ hours, are tired as hell, are almost home, and is damn lucky you saw him and was the only car on the road.

They eat most small critters they see including ticks.
