This is perfect because at first glance you’d think wow that’s a heavy cat, it broke the roof!

In reality though it’s a normal weight cat that has been traveling through space at 40,000mph and rocketed through the atmosphere crashing into the roof. A meowteor…

Ok I’ll see myself out

danc4498@lemmy.world on 09 Oct 16:27 next collapse

That would be catastrophic.

SchmidtGenetics@lemmy.world on 09 Oct 17:46 next collapse

I have a feline we would be fine.

SeductiveTortoise@piefed.social on 09 Oct 19:28 collapse

cat ass trophy?

HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world on 10 Oct 03:30 collapse

So I have a friend who’s a gastroenterologist. They have animal butt artwork on all the walls it’s so wonderfully dorky. The employee of the month gets the cat ass trophy (it’s more of a plaque) at their desk for the whole month. I say, if your doctor doesn’t have at least that good a sense of humor, you have multiple problems

MajorMajormajormajor@lemmy.ca on 09 Oct 16:32 collapse

That would be impawsible to survive for anything but a cat.

WalrusDragonOnABike@reddthat.com on 09 Oct 16:40 next collapse

And a cat could only survive it 8 times.

Asafum@feddit.nl on 09 Oct 16:41 collapse

Cats already like heat, but on entering the atmosphere they convert to their liquid form and their heat capacity increases greatly! Since they’re now liquid the impact doesn’t affect them as much either! Cats really are amazing.

DasFaultier@sh.itjust.works on 09 Oct 19:30 next collapse

Research suggests that cats are already liquid at room temperature, earning the researcher a well deserved Ig Nobel prize.

This isn’t even a joke…

That cat’s still responsible for this some how.

OR IS IT??

Queue the music

ordnance_qf_17_pounder@reddthat.com on 09 Oct 16:45 next collapse

Ohohoho is funny because it’s impossible for the cat to be so heavy that it would cause structural damage ohohoho

SpaceNoodle@lemmy.world on 09 Oct 17:06 next collapse

Bullshit, cats can increase their mass at will

Gormadt@lemmy.blahaj.zone on 09 Oct 21:36 collapse

I agree, my source? Every time I try to lift a cat off of my lap or off of a surface they’re not supposed to be on.

AlmightyDoorman@kbin.earth on 09 Oct 17:14 next collapse

I would argue, that the reason why the cat choose this spot is partially because it is the deepest spot, eliminating the uncomfortable slope it would have if it sat 1 meter to the right. Thus there is a causation, the roof shape causes the cat to sit at this spot.

lugal@lemmy.dbzer0.com on 09 Oct 17:47 next collapse

The causation could also be that the cat jumped from below and therefore the lowest point is the easiest to reach

m532@lemmygrad.ml on 09 Oct 21:16 collapse

Or the cat is liquid and fluided towards at the lowest point

667@lemmy.radio on 09 Oct 17:14 next collapse

It’s a Neutron Cat.

phoenixz@lemmy.ca on 09 Oct 17:15 next collapse

Can I have a few more pixels with that?

Thordros@hexbear.net on 09 Oct 17:54 next collapse

I’m pretty sure that roof is corrugated, not correlated.

booty@hexbear.net on 09 Oct 18:03 next collapse

False, that fatass fuckin cat definitely caused that dent

prex@aussie.zone on 10 Oct 00:49 collapse

Caused it by distracting the driver who backed into the post.
The cat is presiding over his achievement.

cobysev@lemmy.world on 09 Oct 18:30 next collapse

That’s definitely a dragon in disguise. Looks like a cat to mortal eyes, but weights a helluva lot more.

NatakuNox@lemmy.world on 09 Oct 19:43 next collapse

Garfield needs to go on another diet

Deconceptualist@leminal.space on 09 Oct 21:17 next collapse

There was previously a boulder in that spot, but the cat pushed it off the ledge.

FelixMortane@lemmy.ca on 09 Oct 21:32 next collapse

I like the caption for this of “How to spot the poly morphed dragon”
