I’m checking out flowly right now. I’m looking for a kanban board that optimally connects with a todo list and calendar, preferably webdav (but no must). what can you guys recommend?

Personally, literally some postit notes for my own selfhosted projects

Which platform? Desktop or mobile ? For android, there’s “jtx board” which works for me pretty well.

Cyber@feddit.uk on 14 Jun 07:59 next collapse

Wow. I use jtx board and never tried the Kanban view … man, I didn’t even know it did that! Thanks!

psy32nd@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 06:59 collapse

You’re welcome! Glad I helped 😊

GravitySpoiled@lemmy.ml on 15 Jun 11:04 collapse

jtxboard is incredibly powerful, thank you!

psy32nd@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 06:59 collapse

You’re welcome 😊

TDCN@feddit.dk on 14 Jun 05:54 next collapse

I used this for a project once and its great. Super powerful and has a great API for automation https://kanboard.org/

Ugly af, but it’s really good, I use it for organizing my ideas and tasks, and it’s perfect for what I need.

poVoq@slrpnk.net on 14 Jun 13:53 collapse

There are some relatively nice custom themes.

Goun@lemmy.ml on 14 Jun 23:43 collapse

Honestly, I like it better ugly, but yeah, that’s a good tip, maybe I could try some

unlogic@lemmy.zip on 14 Jun 06:06 next collapse

I use wekan.github.io for tracking items to repair.

Nextcloud deck, with the mobile app

verstra@programming.dev on 14 Jun 06:23 next collapse

I use planka, which feels exactly like what trello used to feel: fast & simple. It does not have an app though.

InvisibleShoe@lemmy.world on 14 Jun 07:25 next collapse

I liked using KanBoard. Its simple and runs well inside a docker container.

shiftymccool@programming.dev on 14 Jun 10:17 next collapse

If you have NextCloud, you can try Deck. I moved off from NextCloud and Deck was, oddly enough, one of the harder apps to replace. I ended up with Vikunja. They have an android app in alpha but it feels pretty polished

Aqarius@lemmy.world on 14 Jun 14:54 next collapse

It’s incredibly annoying, though, that you can only copy boards in the app, and when you do it makes triplicate of all the cards.

GravitySpoiled@lemmy.ml on 15 Jun 11:03 collapse

I am using that since it’s very easy to use and I’ve got nextcloud already. I wish it would work like jtxboard

jeena@piefed.jeena.net on 14 Jun 12:50 next collapse

Jira.

scottmeme@sh.itjust.works on 14 Jun 13:41 next collapse

🤮 Asslassian

synae@lemmy.sdf.org on 14 Jun 15:57 next collapse

It may be the worst one, but it’s the one everyone at my company uses. Having multiples is worse than having a bad one.

Pacmanlives@lemmy.world on 14 Jun 20:34 next collapse

It’s the one I use along with Trello. Not gonna be a fan favorite for Selfhosted though

jelloeater85@lemmy.world on 14 Jun 20:51 collapse

Not sure how different the cloud one vs self hosted one is. TBH I’d skip self hosting a Kanban board.

JustEnoughDucks@feddit.nl on 14 Jun 17:20 next collapse

Leantime for sure! Because it is very feature complete for project management

brownmustardminion@lemmy.ml on 15 Jun 00:32 collapse

Do you mean leantime.io?

snugglebutt@lemmy.blahaj.zone on 14 Jun 21:28 next collapse

We’ve been internally using the stock Forgejo (Gitea) one for about a year now, previous Nexcloud Deck, but it was a bit too buggy, and we didn’t really need NC in the first place anyways.

recapitated@lemmy.world on 14 Jun 21:31 collapse

NC deck could be cool but I found it really disappointing.

brownmustardminion@lemmy.ml on 15 Jun 00:43 next collapse

Can I hijack this thread to ask if any of these recommendations have iOS apps? Vikunja looks the most enticing to me but seems they don’t have an iOS app sadly.

johntash@eviltoast.org on 15 Jun 01:49 next collapse

Kanboard is pretty great even if it does feel dated. I tried a lot of the newer alternatives and they all had either weird bugs or quirks I didn’t appreciate.

corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca on 15 Jun 01:58 next collapse

The best kanban is the one you already have. It’s like “the best camera is the one you have with you” – Annie Lennox, I think.

For me, that’s gitlab on-prem.

GravitySpoiled@lemmy.ml on 15 Jun 11:02 collapse

for me that’s jtx :D thanks to another commentor

Father_Redbeard@lemmy.ml on 15 Jun 05:21 collapse

Cryptpad has a very capable Kanban in it. No mobile apps yet, but I understand that is on the road map.
