I love the train illustrations. I’m not sure they’re that meaningful or accurate, but OpenTTD is my jam so it earned my attention anyway. I guess healthchecks is cool too.

Crap. This shit is awesome but now I’m gonna have to start another game of openttd.
Interesting read, it does seem like time to start looking at horizontally scaling the workers based on request pressure. Having a dynamic number of workers that can do the database updates and then quickly release the mutex should increase throughput.
The train illustrations are awesome. LOL I have never played OpenTDD before, but at one time I was heavily into Cities: Skylines. Healthchecks.io, from my reading, is pretty cool stuff. I don’t run enough crons to justify all it can do, but still…pretty cool.
