Finally the game is playable on my 3080, nearly doubled my FPS in places. Went from 60-80 to capping out at my monitors 100 in most places I just ran around to test.

Edit - still lowers in a few cities. But no where near as much

threaded - newest

Big if true. My FPS struggled in cities on my 3060Ti.

I have a 3090 and the populated areas gave me big lag. Even my poor Ryzen thread ripper chugged when normally it handles everything without flinching

From NVIDIA drivers article:

Starfield Performance Improvements

Today, NVIDIA is releasing a Resizable BAR profile for Starfield which increases performance on GeForce RTX 40 Series and GeForce RTX 30 Series desktop and laptop GPUs. In our testing scenario, GeForce RTX 40 Series desktop GPUs see on average a 5% increase in performance. The Starfield Resizable BAR update will be pushed via an Over-The-Air (OTA) update from NVIDIA and will be automatically applied for gamers running the latest Game Ready Driver (537.34) or the previous release (537.17).

Is that the only change? I already did this in nVidia Profile Inspector and didn’t notice any difference in performance.

I’m excited to update my drivers… it’s been a long time since I’ve said that.

Getting between 50 and 84 frames now. Used to be between 50 and 90. But I have only tested it in the city yet. Gotta wait for after work to actually play. I might be a bit obsessed with this game, spending my lunch updating nvidia drivers.
