Obviously Avrey Brooks is an excellent choice but I think Todd could have absolutely pulled it off. Granted, it would have probably been a very different character!
A true horror legend. He stole every scene he was ever in. RIP.

The Man From Earth is such a great low key sci-fi film. Basically a handful of people in a room dissecting a story, with wild implications.
John Billingsly, Ellen Crawford, and Richard Riehle. Such a great small cast!
If one hasn’t seen it, go in blind. Enjoy!

If one does watch and enjoy it, I recommend they do not watch the sequel.

Aw man, no more new Rodek/Kurn content in Star Trek Online. 😢 (For those who don’t know, he’s been a voice actor in that game from 2017 to at least 2023 – I can’t remember if he’s been in the latest episode arc or not.)

Damn, he was a highlight of anything he appeared in, and his Trek parts were amazing. His memory lives on.

Damn I just randomly selected a Voyager ep last night and it was the one where he was a Hirogen hunting a stranded Species 8472. Then I see this today. 😢
Even in full makeup and under a mask it was unmistakenly him, the man was a goddamn imposing presence. You will be missed, sir! 🫡

I got his autograph at a convention once. Most celebrities fall somewhere close to the middle of the “smile, nod, sign autograph, receive money” curve. Tony Todd started asking me questions about what I was doing at the con, what sort of stuff I was looking forward to. He was sweet and kind and giving to a gigantic dork to whom he owed nothing, and he gave me a memory that I’ll cherish forever. He deserves every ounce of praise he’ll receive, and more.

Mourning him for both Trek and The Orville.
TIL: He was also one of several actors considered for the role of Benjamin Sisko
