The same as Star Trek Prodigy, it seems to be missing, or is because region block?

Not sure your country of origin, but in the U.S. it has all 13 theatrical films + Section 31, as well as Woman in Motion and Building Star Trek.

In Argentina there is only the three Kelvin movies, the first Star Trek movie and Nemesis. Also, the colection link give me 404 error message.

Mostly licensing has a part in this and just taken down content due to low demand. (This I know because my documentary doesn’t show).

ValueSubtracted@startrek.website on 08 Sep 19:34 next collapse

Paramount tends to give other platforms temporary exclusive licenses to the films.

It’s not perfect, but I find justwatch.com useful when trying to figure out where things are available in my country.

Didn’t Paramount remove Prodigy between seasons 1 & 2 for tax purposes?

ValueSubtracted@startrek.website on 08 Sep 19:50 collapse

I’ve never seen any indication that taxes had anything to do with it. I think they just gave the exclusive license to Netflix (which has since expired, at least for season one).

It doesn’t matter because it’s not worth supporting Paramount.

cuchi@startrek.website on 10 Sep 15:24 collapse

I was thinking for months to paying Paramount+ since in Argentina it cost 1600 pesos, which are basically one dollar at month, is the cheapest streaming plataform out there.

Etterra@discuss.online on 10 Sep 23:33 collapse

When I got it for $1 a month for the first two months I wasn’t sure I’d keep it, then they bribed Trump and cancelled Colbert, so fuck em. If they’re gonna be corrupt and cowardly they should lose money, fuck em.

cuchi@startrek.website on 11 Sep 00:23 collapse

I don’t know if this is related with “Trump”, I think nobody in Paramount tell the executives 1600 pesos aren’t 5 dollars.

@cuchi
I have paramount plus only because of Star Trek and there're all Star Trek movies and series except for Prodigy.

EmpathicVagrant@lemmy.world on 09 Sep 09:48 collapse

I had it for 2 months. It constantly crashed, gave me ads when I paid for no ads, and had trouble running more than 1-2 episodes back to back so I couldn’t just binge my show.
