Lol, same here. Though the name definitely rings a bell. I’m sure if I pulled up his IMDB page I’d immediately recognize a few roles.

He’s an actor and comedian from New Zealand. Off the top of my head, he’s been in:
“Flight of the Concords”
“Voltron”
“What We Do In the Shadows” the movie, not sure about the series
"Our Flag Means Death"
I’m pretty excited by the idea of him showing up in SNW. His line read of “We’re werewolves, not swear wolves,” lives in my head. My guess would be him playing a Mudd/Okana type figure.

I’m wondering if he’ll be playing Roger Korby. During the panel, they said that they wouldn’t confirm or deny certain rumours that have apparently been floating around.
Love Bill, when I saw him live last here in Manchester he was trying some new material, hung a joke on the punchline using the word juxtaposition, and nobody laughed because they didn’t know what it meant xD
God, I felt embarrassed to realise the bar for education here is that low…

I have no idea who that is but cool.

Edit: I forgot they already cast him.
If he’s going to be an extant character, I could see him as Trelene.
He played the Gentleman Pirate in the show Our Flag Means Death, he’s also the manager in the show flight of the conchords.
Oh snap he was the manager in FotC! That’s pretty awesome then!
The article just mentioned ‘Jumanji’ and I didn’t recognize him from the picture.
He’s amazing in anything he does, I hope he’s gonna chew the fuck out of the scenery in the trek episode.
My absolute favorite Rhys Darby appearance is X-Files Season 10 Episode 3, “Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster”
Consider me excited.
I feel like I did when Bill Bailey was on an episode of Dr Who. This was made just for me.

Fuckin A, he’s absolutely fantastic, can’t wait to see what he gets up to on SNW, which is a wonderful show that doesn’t take itself too seriously :-D
