Bullshit they’ll control the algorithm. Tik tok will say they do, and let some goons from the white house pull levers, but it’s obscure enough that they won’t be able to see the effects.

Oh, they certainly do. And I have no doubt they have effectively manipulated people. I also have no doubt they can censor and block things. But to say the government had control of the algorithm? In the age of agentic AI? Bullshit. Look at how fucked Grok is, constantly saying stuff Twitter doesn’t want it too. I fully do not expect them to be able to come in to an already created algorithm and pull levers like they think they can.
