So I want to install skylight social which is based on at protocol, google says app is not in my region. So installed it with apk pure and when ran the app it redirect me to Play store even after disabling it . The app shows it requires play store
Why all the app based on at protocol are soo restrictive while active pub don’t and what can I do about it

Unfortunately the app developer themselves have decided to only allow installs from the play store. Not much you can do about that, though I wonder if that’s something revanced could possibly patch out of the apk.
Is it possible to know in which country they are offering the app as I have used vpn only with canada , Singapore and 1 other country
Caveat - I don’t use skylight or bluesky
A cursory search indicates the US should work. It also came up with a reddit thread suggesting it’s basically just bluesky - dunno how true that is.
