The Trump administration is collecting data on all Americans, and they are enlisting the data analysis company Palantir to do it.
The New York Times reports that President Trump has enlisted the firm, founded by far-right billionaire Peter Thiel, to carry out his March executive order instructing government agencies to share data with each other. The order has increased fears that the government is putting together a database to wield surveillance powers over the American public.
Since then, the administration has been very quiet about these efforts, increasing suspicion. Meanwhile, Palantir has taken more than $113 million in government spending since Trump took office, from both existing contracts and new ones with the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security. That number is expected to grow, especially given that the firm just won a new $795 million contract with the DOD last week.

SAM. It’s not the machine. There’s a mismatch on the personnel code numbers. Tuttle should have had £31.06, debited against his account, not Buttle!
KURTZMAN. [horrified] Oh my God, a mistake!
SAM. Well at least it’s not ours.
KURTZMAN. [eagerly] Isn’t it? Whose is it?
SAM: Information Retrieval.
KURTZMAN. [smiling] Oh, good!
Braziiiiiiiiil
I need to watch this again.
uh oh
this has been the entire point of doge. under the guise of cost cutting they access and rip the databases from every government entity and fire anyone who would sound alarms, or get in the way.
If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear!
Well, now you actually can’t hide anything.
But don’t worry. This brand of AI almost never hallucinates datapoints, so nothing to fear!
What are the odds ICE will reach out to local law enforcement over something AI said?
Thiel is not far-right. These days, the labels Right or Left don’t always make sense, because there is kinda of a uniparty who pulls our strings on certain issues, gets us all worked up, but they just want control for the sake of control - no ideology or cause needs to be believed in for them - though they will fake it to get people to comply.
I must wonder if Trump saying that America needs biometrics for illegals is part of this. Using illegals is just an excuse to introduce the Brave New World’s tools.
