It mandates that subscriptions that begin with a click must be able to end with a click.
I’m guessing gyms will just remove online signup from their websites.

i remember having to actually call an ISP to cancel, as there was no online option, so it was one of the rare occasions of getting a human being on the phone almost instantly and it was

“why?”
“cancel the service”
“are you moving?”

“are you switching to another provider?”
“cancel the service”
“is the bill too high? would lowering the bill change your mind?”

The moving thing worked for me, I just said I’m moving back in with my parents and they have amazing Internet. Like to me that’s a checkmate, they can’t say anything

“RCN offers twice the download speeds for half what you charge. Can you beat that?”
“…I’ll switch you to cancellations.”

That woman is the most important bureaucrat in the United States. Jesus, she’s fighting Wall Street and Silicone Valley, and winning. This election is, by far, more than about Harris vs. Trump. Khan will be #1 on the chopping block if Trump wins.
