I hate Google as much as the next guy, but their response is dead on. If millions of real people are marking the same thing as spam, then the algorithms are forced to identify that thing as spam.

I think it’s quite likely that Republicans have worse mail list management. I somehow started getting Donald Trump emails and I never signed up for them.

I used to sign up friends to publish clearing house newsletters. Maybe someone did something similar.

Also, this is one reason I append the source to any address I willfully submit. Allows me to see who’s selling my user.

I remember several articles mentioning how Conservatives get dubious spam/phishing mails directly from the government/MAGA newsletters they signed up for.

So yeah, being against spam is partisan now.
