Revenue, not profit. Even if they make a net loss they’d will be sharing the money.

I’m more concerned about the individual and independent creators. How will they be compensated for the use of their work?

They will not. AI is fundamentally an unethically sourced technology at an unprecedented global and historical scale. With no enforcement, its barely a mild inconvenience for those profiting from the worlds artist, writers, musicians, programmers and academics. These factions of humanity will never recover as AI pollutes these watersheds of creativity from now on. It’s not even a consideration for the public using this technology, who can’t imagine what having your life’s work scanned, analyzed, and re-output for profit by the masters of greed from silicon valley feels like. TLDR: enshittifed culture go brrrrr
