Not enough. These drops in the bucket punishments are less than a slap on the wrist for such a company.

Tesla senior executives are meeting right now. They are ready to unleash a deluge of social media attacks to discredit the court decision. Attack. Attack. Attack. It’s all they know.
But in 2023, the New York Times magazine spent weeks investigating Tesla .
As a paying NYT subscriber (yeah, we exist), here is the full investigation:

Color me shocked. Shocked I tell you!
I'm sorry, I'm out of the colour shocked, but I would have disgusted and maybe annoyed? Should I color you with a stripe pattern of those two?
Can you do polka dots?
Lemme try. Which one well be the base?
Disgusted, as that’s the stronger feeling of the two
Well … Not fully shocked… More like tingled. Tingled I say!
This shouldn’t be a fine. Be knowingly lied, which lead to death. Manslaughter. Prison.
I think it should be illegal for companies to have social medias.
They still would, it just wouldn’t have their name on it.
Reading an article on Musk’s erratic, ridiculous behavior from over a year ago makes me pine for the world’s previous level of insanity.
People rich enough to buy their way out of consequences are seldom responsible people. There’s just no incentive for them.
They’re the Oceangate of cars but waaaaaaay better at hiding the deaths.

It’s very clear that Mr. Musk knowingly lied about the safety of his Autopilot system.
As a result, innocents were killed. He simply believed he would never be caught.
