Cyberattack cripples Ace Hardware’s internal systems, resulting in shipment delays, suspended online orders.

That’s lame! I really like my local Ace.
I always go to ace first
I ordered a BBQ for memorial Day off their website 5 years ago when I moved close to my local one. It was a ship to store and they assemble free deal. I’ve never seen a company post 2000 have such a disjointed, unaware, incompetent process to a simple online order; this breach surprises me zero.
Their website was poorly designed, ala early 2000s probably with security to match. Their online and in store inventory were not linked. I got a confirmation email my order had arrived at my local store, it took 4 or 5 people to find it and they refused to put it together as the online promo advertised; apparently corporate marketing has zero communications to retail locations, or zero respect from them maybe both.
Their in store folks are always great but yes, don’t ever try to order anything online from them, talk about kryptonite.
That sucks. Personally I’ve never had a bad experience with them.
I feel like each store is independently operated and great, and the central company owns the website and sucks.
I wish ours was still open. It was one of those really old stores almost like the general store on O Brother Where Art Thou.
Was it also a geographical oddity?
Found a fellow Dapper Dan man
I don’t want Fop, dammit!
Were they targeted or are they collateral from a larger attack?
