The Israel of East Asia is doing what it’s supposed to do, I guess.

hddsx@lemmy.ca on 16 Jun 09:38 next collapse

The fuck?

supernicepojo@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 09:50 next collapse

Congrats on the single worst comment in the history of the internet. No points for you, may Allah have mercy on your soul.

ArgumentativeMonotheist@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 10:26 next collapse

Upvoted for monotheism. 👍

supernicepojo@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 10:53 collapse

I threw that flavor in for your benefit.

ArgumentativeMonotheist@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 11:01 collapse

Maybe add it to your diet, this time to your own benefit.

supernicepojo@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 11:03 collapse

Ive already eaten the new testament, it was tasteless and yet had something for everyone. 2/10

ArgumentativeMonotheist@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 11:06 collapse

‘Ecclesiastes’ might be right for you then. Have a nice day.

supernicepojo@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 11:15 collapse

Vanity is pointless and everything is meaningless Accept for the will of YHWH to encompass your being.

ArgumentativeMonotheist@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 11:27 collapse

Not bad! 👍👍👍

I tried to post in Hebrew but I couldnt get my client to work it.

ArgumentativeMonotheist@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 11:29 collapse

It’s better this way cause I don’t speak Hebrew but I do love me some Solomon, lol.

supernicepojo@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 11:30 collapse

Is King David too mainstream? How about Job, now theres a story.

ArgumentativeMonotheist@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 11:32 collapse

The Scripture altogether is not ‘mainstream’ anymore, I fear.

supernicepojo@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 11:36 collapse

Thats not really true, while religious adoption is down in the Abrahamic religions, spirituality is still on the rise. People, as the books tell us, will find their own way to peace and God.

ArgumentativeMonotheist@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 11:47 collapse

Insha’Allah. 😁

supernicepojo@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 11:52 collapse

If Allah wills it. Such a wonderful phrase, I use this daily. A-salaam, brother.

Diabolo96@lemmy.dbzer0.com on 16 Jun 10:59 collapse

Completely unrelated but Isn’t lemmy.world one of the most pro-Zionist garbage server or something? Writing “allah have mercy on your soul” is beyond ironic.

supernicepojo@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 11:02 next collapse

Allah, God, Yhwh, Goddess, Jesus; pretty controversial to say they all refer to the same one.

ArgumentativeMonotheist@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 11:02 collapse

It’s on purpose. 🤷

Diabolo96@lemmy.dbzer0.com on 16 Jun 11:06 collapse

I kinda expected the person behind it to be a Zionist themselves.

ArgumentativeMonotheist@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 11:10 collapse

Propaganda is strong and extremely commonplace. But I write things propagandised folks have strong reactions to, hoping it shakes the ‘house of cards’ styled ideological foundations at least a little bit!

Diabolo96@lemmy.dbzer0.com on 16 Jun 11:19 collapse

Glad to see people who still have the fire in them. Personally, I’ve lost hope when the so-called ‘Never Again’ country, Germany, is unconditionally backing yet another genocide. It wouldn’t even make sense in a hardcore dystopian novel, and yet reality has surpassed my darkest expectations.

ArgumentativeMonotheist@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 11:28 collapse

Thank you! And I understand… Let’s hope (albeit selfishly, cause many aren’t and won’t) that we stay safe during these chaotic times. 🙏

I am really surprised your account wasn’t from ML. This seems very similar to the usual degenerate word salad you hear from the tankies.

Although I will give you points for originality, this is a somewhat new type of word salad.

Mihies@programming.dev on 16 Jun 10:09 next collapse

I have to ask, where do you see similarities between the two? How even?

ArgumentativeMonotheist@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 10:45 collapse

They’re both tools created to further Western imperialism and destabilise their respective areas. MacArthur famously called Taiwan America’s ‘unsinkable aircraft carrier’, and through decades of anti communist propaganda and de-sinification and thanks to the vast resources spent on it, it has become way more than just that. If you understand both Israel and Taiwan as extensions of the Western bloc, you will easily comprehend what’s going on in their regions and de-spin their narratives.

hddsx@lemmy.ca on 16 Jun 11:09 collapse

Tools? First of all, Taiwan is historically 中華民國 (ROC).China is now 中華人民共和國 (PRC). The area known as Mainland China, or the area currently operated by the PRC was under the control of ROC. In fact, it was during a civil war between the two sides that Japan invaded during WW2.

The current government of what is now known as China was being thrashed and the ROC almost quashed the rebellion. However, they put their differences aside to squash the Japanese government. The ROC suffered heavy losses to repel the Japanese.

The PRC separatists took this opportunity to gain ground and pushed the ROC to the island of Taiwan.

The current generation of Taiwanese are historically and culturally separated from the Chinese. The Taiwanese are happy to at least maintain the status quo of two separate entities, with only some from older generations looking to retake mainland China.

Mainland China insists to takeover the island of Taiwan, by force if necessary.

What do you mean Taiwan was a created tool? Learn your fucking history dude

ArgumentativeMonotheist@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 11:26 next collapse

Very conveniently avoided which foreign entities supported the KMT and financed the militarisation and anti-communist, pro-American retheoric in Taiwan, and there was simply no mention of the decades of White Terror and imposition of martial law and political repression, lol. God knows why, by now, “the current generation of Taiwanese are historically and culturally separated from the Chinese”. Yes, it was a moderately successful brainwashing project, I agree. I don’t agree with it because of morals, but that’s just me, I guess. Okay, “the long-standing current establishment” was ’ engineered’ (you didn’t like the word created) with the same "thorn in their side/military base idea in mind. FFS, there used to be a “United States Taiwan Defense Command”, and to this day there are US military personnel stationed in Taiwan. To deny the American Taiwanese project is crazy talk, but some people get paid for it. I hope it’s not you!

hddsx@lemmy.ca on 16 Jun 11:34 collapse

I’m well aware of white terror age, and the 228 incident. Im giving you an abridged version.

There is a reason most of the current generation rejects both the CCP and the KMT. It’s not a brainwashing.

Have you ever been to either country? I can’t figure out your spin.

Mihies@programming.dev on 16 Jun 12:08 collapse

Besides, there is also a tiny difference that Taiwan is not a lunatic blood-thirsty genocidal war-monger child-killer state-terrorism country.

hddsx@lemmy.ca on 16 Jun 12:39 next collapse

I’m still trying to figure out their spin. /me shrugs

Ferrous@lemmy.ml on 16 Jun 13:41 collapse

So then why is Taiwan bending over backwards to cater to Zionists from a lunatic blood-thirsty genocidal child-killer state-terrorism country? Going so far as offer free vacations to zionists and expanding ties in the wake of Oct 7?

www.ynetnews.com/travel/article/bj611yqjqxe

middleeasteye.net/…/israel-taiwan-forging-closer-…

“It was Mao Zedong who said, ‘Israel and Taiwan are bases of operation for imperialism in Asia. They created Israel for the Arabs and Taiwan for us. They both have the same objective’. So almost automatically, if China supports a side, then Taiwan will support the other,” Arnaud Bertrand, an expert on China, told Middle East Eye.

BlemboTheThird@lemmy.ca on 16 Jun 17:19 collapse

Maybe it has something to do with also needing international support in order to defend itself from its neighbor… talk all the shit you want about the US’s stance on Israel, but shifting that to Taiwan is on par with claiming Ukraine deserved to get invaded.

Which I now realize is probably your next line. Anyway, oh well

Ferrous@lemmy.ml on 16 Jun 17:52 collapse

Am I understanding this right? You believe that, amid a new strategy of gunning down starving Palestinians arriving to aid sites, Taiwan was obligated to start giving free vacations to genocidal IDF soldiers to bolster its defensive capacity? Dafuq?

Yall’s “liberal pragmatism” is laughably evil.

TheBat@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 10:45 collapse

ArgumentativeMonotheist@lemmy.world on 16 Jun 10:46 collapse
