I know, why? But looks cool though

It looks cool, but I’m worried about durability. It doesn’t even make the screen that much bigger.

I agree on durability concerns, but it did double the height of the display. Not sure how much bigger you’re expecting.

Install Linux. No more spyware. And no more AI. At least, not unless you want it. Personally, I’ve been a Linux user since 2011 and would seriously recommend using Linux Mint. It’s stupid simple and just works really well.

AbidanYre@lemmy.world on 13 Jan 2025 02:24 next collapse

I wouldn’t bet on that screen having Linux drivers right away.

shortwavesurfer@lemmy.zip on 13 Jan 2025 02:27 collapse

True. I’d give it a year or two. At least enough time for it to become somewhat more common for them to exist.

HeyJoe@lemmy.world on 13 Jan 2025 03:50 collapse

Or enough time for everyone to realize, “Why did we need this?” And go away forever.

shortwavesurfer@lemmy.zip on 13 Jan 2025 03:52 collapse

That too

shortwavesurfer@lemmy.zip on 13 Jan 2025 02:29 collapse

I don’t blame you because I do as much as I can myself.

Only use case that made me reconsider is somebody said it could be helpful for certain disabilities. I don’t recall which, but if this is something that sells a few units for people with accessibility needs, then who am I to reject it?

SquiffSquiff@lemmy.world on 13 Jan 2025 09:08 collapse

I fail to understand what disabilities this could help with

Telorand@reddthat.com on 13 Jan 2025 13:11 collapse

Okay.

The display can get longer when dealing with porn?

SplashJackson@lemmy.ca on 13 Jan 2025 19:01 collapse
