Has someone asked what there IS to defend if not people’s lives?

Sabre363@sh.itjust.works on 01 Dec 2023 00:26 next collapse

The only people they care about defending are the rich and powerful. Aka, the ones that don’t ever have to worry about their health.

Deconceptualist@lemm.ee on 01 Dec 2023 05:53 collapse

I mean… do the rich and powerful not breathe air and drink water? At some point this has to matter even to them, right??

webghost0101@sopuli.xyz on 01 Dec 2023 08:28 collapse

Don’t be silly, the air you and me breath is beneath them they dont live with the rest of us. The 0.5% have their own communities and sometimes islands. I bet the water they have is as clean as it gets and on top of that there is a water purification station in the second basement and multiple gardens to take care of o2 dispensing plants.

Gov is in sexual relations with DuPont. They can’t do anything since DuPont is the top and gov is the bottom

Listen kid, no time to explain, consume these small plastics to keep your country safe!

lmao. You’ve got a good sense of humor.

agitatedpotato@lemmy.world on 01 Dec 2023 21:00 collapse

Thanks. It’s one of those things no one can take from you so I value having it.

Unfortunately DoD is right. PFAS are terrible things, but they’re used everywhere (including consumer goods at an astonishing rate) because they’re really effective. Once there are good alternatives, yes let’s ban them forever, but until then we’d all notice their absence in our goods in a big bad way.

Nudding@lemmy.world on 01 Dec 2023 16:19 next collapse

Oh no, not our goods :(

Adori@lemmy.world on 01 Dec 2023 17:53 collapse

Now burning the wood from the boat is really effective at keeping us warm but until an alternative is found we will keep using the boat that we are all in to get through this cold patch of ocean.

Actually fuck no, it’d be, “we gotta keep using the fire to keep us entertained since we are all bored here in the ocean”

Nudding@lemmy.world on 01 Dec 2023 17:57 collapse

Look at the shiny fire while you build boats you can never afford :)

Adori@lemmy.world on 02 Dec 2023 05:20 collapse

lol, boat=earth, fire=forever chemicals

isles@lemmy.world on 01 Dec 2023 21:16 collapse

I notice cancer, liver disease, thyroid disease, and asthma in a big bad way, too.

The DoD not giving two shits about the health of their soldiers, can’t find a better pair.

A_Random_Idiot@lemmy.world on 01 Dec 2023 21:18 collapse

DoD doesnt give a flying fuck about soldiers health.

Health ramifactions from this shit wont manifest until they are out of service and fed up with Tricare to the point of not using it for when the shit hits the fan.

Just look at all the Camp Lejuene shit being revealed recently
