By caching?

comador@lemmy.world on 08 Jul 06:03 next collapse

Great, now make it uninstall faster.

cmnybo@discuss.tchncs.de on 08 Jul 06:05 next collapse

Yeah, but it can’t run a decent ad blocker. That makes it useless to me.

The Edge of who gives a fuck?

dumbass@quokk.au on 08 Jul 06:19 next collapse

Nice advert

It’s sad and pathetic that Microsoft gave up on their own rendering engine. Edge is just a chrome clone with a bunch of privacy invading marketing crap stuffed into it.

SpicyLizards@reddthat.com on 08 Jul 08:52 next collapse

Well, additional privacy invading crap

Ignoring the privacy its also rather decent without needing to beg for attention

“It now takes Microsoft’s browser less than 300 milliseconds to start rendering the first parts of a website for users, whether it’s text, images, or parts of the user interface.”

They’re bragging about now meeting the minimum standard. LOL.

“Our cars are now faster than ever! They can go as fast as 55 mph on a standard highway!”

In the URL you shared the baseline for First Contentful Paint (FCP) is 1800ms, I can’t see a minimum of 300ms anywhere.

jordanlund@lemmy.world on 08 Jul 08:23 collapse

Time To First Byte 0 to 800ms.

Get off chromium and maybe I’ll consider you.
