It's been only a year since OpenAI released ChatGPT, but the technology has evolved at such a rapid pace that the original now seems almost quaint.

Why it matters: Many in the tech field were surprised by the technology a year ago and have been astonished at just how fast generative AI is improving.

The tech and algorithm has been around for a while. The thing that makes generative ai so powerful is all our data that got pulled to create the product.

Openai is out, free local LLMs are in

speaking of which, anyone have an extra 32GB ddr4 ram stick they’re willing to donate? It’s for a good cause (pet project I will abandon after two weeks)

This post has no value, it almost looks like a promotion of a product.

It kind of has a value, because so many people don’t realize how fast it goes.

They say things like AI will never be better than humans at this and that, etc. I have no idea how they are even thinking. AI will become the primary interface to all technology.

You will talk to AIs constantly in just a few years. When you order a burger, when you search the web, when you ask for help online because you feel sad.
