If "YouTube is hiding videos from you," then it stands to reason some people may wish to see the videos. This comment proposed one way to see those videos.

Sew buttons on ice cream and watch them slide down.
Youtube has been hiding videos from me for years. I'd look at my "Subscriptions" page, and wouldn't see anything new. Then I'd go to the channel's page, and see a few new videos.
That prompted me to start using my RSS reader instead of youtube subscriptions. A more reliable experience, for sure.
No worries, I’m hiding the entire YouTube from my internet.

Did not expect to see a Voosh video in my !technology@lemmy.world, hopefully folks here won’t be put off by his strong (but accurate) words to describe the situation.
Hasn’t he also said some weird stuff about sex with kids too? The type of stuff that you would hear from a nerd on Reddit when age of consent comes up.

OP did you forget to post the link or something? I’m not seeing anything there.
Ironically you might have restricted mode enabled. Check your settings in YouTube and disable it if it is

I wish they’d hide more from me, specifically shorts and the “you may be interested in <sports thing/news thing/current event>”. It seems like no matter how many times I click not interested they keep coming back up. And I can’t hide shorts on AppleTV without going to the website and then they just pop back up every 30 days.

Manipulation by unnoticeable omission. Europeans getting a personalised censored feed, not getting recommended and advertised what they need. Social media giant AI detects an illness you have, and silences all content that could lead you to health. Dating sites not showing you the most compatible people. Job sites not showing you the jobs that could strengthen Europe.

Sow your seeds in the soil & watch them grow.
Nice, I like that one too. I hadn’t heard it before in this kind of context.
Haven’t watched the video, but Freetube let’s you pull from RSS.
