Google is reaching the enshittification stage where corporate rot takes over. However due to the size and scale of the company it will continue to move forward like one of those insects that has had its agency taken over by the parasites that it is carrying around inside it.

I thought VR was dead after Apple’s flop of a launch.

I’ve been working professionally with VR since 2018. Haven’t even tried a Vision Pro yet. Projects keeps coming.

VR was never dead, it just isn’t mainstream but has its use cases - including gaming, but also a lot of corporate, training, and now AI and simulation stuff.

I had Daydream and I loved it. It was cheap enough to not think much about the cost. It was functional enough to watch things at home or on the go, as well as play some games. It was great for the price. My Daydream headset is now another piece of abandonware.

Keep Talking And Nobody Explodes on the daydream was a next level of fun with friends. Sad it was abandoned so rudely.

DID SOMEONE SAY XR

The Honda XR650R, affectionately known as the “Big Red Pig,” is a true legend in the world of off-road motorcycles.
Produced from 2000 to 2007, this absolute powerhouse redefined off-road performance. Equipped with a 650cc liquid-cooled, overhead cam, single cylinder engine, a dry-sump oiling system, and a lightweight aluminum frame, the XR650R was engineered to conquer the toughest terrain. Its powerful engine delivered exceptional performance, while the frame’s design provided stable and predictable handling even in the most challenging conditions. Most notably, the XR650R became a dominant force in the desert, earning its place in history with many victories in the Baja 1000—a grueling test of endurance and skill. While it is now more sought-after for dual-sport riding, the XR650R remains, at its core, a no-compromise, kick-start-only dirt bike, built for pure, unrelenting performance.

Neat, so we need to wait five years before even trying it to see if they’re serious. killedbygoogle.com
